***2026 COURSE CLOSURE DATE***

We are scheduled to blow out our irrigation system starting on Monday, November 2nd. If you play on the 2nd or 3rd, you may encounter holes with irrigation heads spraying water as we clear the system for winter. The Oaks Golf Course will close following the last tee time on Sunday, November 15th, for the 2026 season. The day after we close, we will begin applying our winter chemicals to the greens. These chemicals are an important part of protecting our greens from snow mold and winter kill during the off-season. It is crucial to apply this chemical before any snow or ice gets on the surface of the greens. Once applied, it must dry to a crust and remain on the turf throughout the winter. This is why we don't allow anyone to play and track the chemical off the surface once it's applied. Thanks for your understanding while we continue our closing process and do things to keep the course in great shape. We have had a really good 2026 season and truly appreciate all of the support!

The Oaks Golf Club was first founded over 40 years ago by Hayfield, MN golfers who wanted a local golf course to call their own. They got together as a community to fund, design and build the layout. While there have been renovations and improvements to the original design, we still strive to maintain that original community spirit.

We uphold this sense of community in several ways, such as through:

  • Our junior program - started to help grow the game of golf for our future stars
  • Our golf course event venue - the perfect destination for weddings, reunions or birthdays
  • Our fully stocked bar and grill - you'll always find friendly faces and delicious food. We also have a great selection of tap beers and spirits from MN.
